Getting started
When can I get Puchku?
Puchku is coming soon to iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. When it's out, the App Store link will be on our home page. Everything in Puchku is free: no subscription, nothing to buy.
How do I check in?
On Today, tap how you feel: Happy, Calm, Tired, Low or Stressed. That's the whole check-in. You can add what it's about, or skip it.
Where is Puchku on my Mac?
By the notch at the top of your screen. Click Puchku to open the room, with all of Puchku inside, or open Puchku in a window.
How do I check in on my Apple Watch?
Open Puchku on your watch and tap how you feel. The check-in goes to your iPhone. The watch keeps no words.
The lock and your journal
Why does Puchku ask for Face ID?
Puchku locks when you leave, so only you can open it. One unlock opens Puchku and your journal, and your journal stays protected by your device's Secure Enclave.
Can I change when Puchku locks?
Yes. In Me › Settings, choose Lock after: Immediately, 1 minute or 5 minutes. You can turn the lock off there too; then your journal asks for itself. The lock and the journal need a passcode on your device.
Where do voice notes go?
Voice notes are turned into text on your device, never online. The note and its text are sealed in your journal.
Your devices
How do I get Puchku on another device?
In Me › Privacy, open your devices and choose Link another device, then follow the steps on both. On iPhone, Connect your Mac in Me does the same for your Mac. No account needed.
Is my journal on all my devices?
Only while Include your journal is on in Your devices. What syncs is end-to-end encrypted, and only your devices can read it.
What if I lose all my devices?
If you saved your recovery code (Your devices › Your recovery code), type it on a new device. Without it, your synced data can't be recovered, by us or anyone.
Privacy
Can you read my journal or check-ins?
No. They're on your devices and, when they sync, end-to-end encrypted with a key only your devices have. Our server only ever holds them sealed, and we can't read them. See Privacy.
Does Puchku read my Apple Health data?
No. If you turn it on in Me › Settings, Puchku adds the feelings you tap to Apple Health. Puchku never reads your Health data.
How do I delete everything?
Me › Delete everything removes what Puchku keeps on this device and the locked copy on our server. To remove only the synced copy, open Your devices and choose Remove from Puchku's server.
Friends
Someone I linked with is bothering me.
In People, open the friend and choose Block. This unlinks you, and they can't link with you again unless you say yes. We can't see your friends or what you send, so blocking is what stops it.
Feedback
How do I send feedback?
Write to support@puchku.app. Please leave out anything private you've told Puchku.
If you're struggling
Puchku isn't a crisis or medical service. Here's a list of helplines in many countries. In Puchku, Me › Get help shows helplines near you. If you're in danger right now, call your local emergency number.
